new deck done

so a slap of varnish or 3 and Im ready to go

180 randals and gumballs its nice and carvey

all gripped up

made a new deck

well Ive had a little time on hand so I decided to make a hardwood deck.

have a plank so must start to shape it .

I wanted a nice carvey board just to kick around on so I went for a shape that gave me heaps of foot room and good leverage.

 

now I had the shape I wanted there was still the general rounding off corners etc

lots and lots of sanding

 

well time for a break tomorrow is vanishing day .

New Trucks

Yes they are ready.

I picked up the first sets today .

These are cleaner with better edging and logo K200 for the 200mm and K180 for the very limited 180mm

Im very pleased with the look and performance of these trucks, and with all the feed back I am receiving I expect these will be competing well against other brands.

All the same dimensions as before .

well Ive been down and out for a wee while with a virus that is still lingering on , so not getting much skating in, but I have been busy getting things ready for the new arrivails.

Im hopeing they will be ready bey next week, I have added the 180mm hanger as promised and cleaned up the edgeing taking away some of the sharpness.

TRUCKS ARE UNDER WAY

I put the stamp on the new trucks today so they are in production as I write.

there will be some small changers to the appearance but overall they are the same .. why change a good thing right.

The weather here sucks lots of rain and very cold so my old bones don't like to be out in it .so Im looking forward to some sun , I had a go on some ruff road seal in the weekend , something I would normally stay away from . but I had a nice wee run my feet got shook up from the vibrations,  I had 83a bigZigs on so not the most accommodating for that surface. a bit of fun though.

Leigh Griffith in Oz is going to be putting together some footage of the boys racing and riding the Kookytrucks hopefully this weekend so looking forward to seeing that soonish weather depending.

price change for Kookys

Hi all Its just the way the world is going at the moment  with prices for raw materials I have no choice but to increase the price of Kookytrucks .

So as of today and this post a complete set of Kookys will go from 379USD a pair to 389USD a pair

All orders prior to the 6th August  will be honored at the 379USD price

The new Kookys will become available in a few weeks .

This my son Sam riding his home built bamboo deck with gullwing and 70s ojs

He would love to do a bigger hill but I wont let him. He can wait until hes got the braking down first.

At the moment he just runs out the speed ..hey he only 6yrs

getting new trucks sorted

I went down to the machine shop today and I'm going about getting the next run sorted out.

This lot will have the Kookytrucks name on the base plates and specail K on the Hangers. just so you can see they what your riding. and with the adition of 180mm hangers.Everthing else will remain unchanged as they are proforming very well at speed.

Finally the rain has stopped and the roads are a little dryer .

Im going to have a go at getting some truck vid tonight .
