surfers paradise

Well I took the family to Oz for a wee hoilday. I was wanting to do some skating with some of the locals, but having the flu and try`n to time it all in was just  a no go, bummer really. Oh well next time.

It was good meeting up with Ash a (silverfisher) and handing over a set of the Kooky trucks, he has since told me he is well pleased with them... good stuff.

I did manage to stuff an old hack deck into my suit case, so I did get a coulpe of morming cruisers in.

It's such a great place, I went for a drive around some of the new housing blocks and there are some great wee runs to be had there. I recomend checking those new areas out if your on the coast.

morning ride to work

Every so often you get to have one of those nice winter days, when the sun is out and the ice is off the road . Today was a good one so I grabbed to evo and went to work.

Well the weather is crap here (winter) so i havn't been able to get out for a skate lately.

I thought I'd post a quiver pick, I always find it interesting to see what other people ride.

There is a couple of home made bamboo decks, all trucks are Randal or Randal with Kooky hangers or just Kookytrucks on the Evo, 169s and gullwings on the small decks.

Camera

Well I found a nice wee camera case today, it's a juice container, the handle is good and the opening to pour from is the exact size for the lens, so with a bit foam  for comfort the camera sits perfectly.

I'm off for a trail run now, It's bloody cold and the roads are damp so fingers X, I havn't had much luck downloading from the cam for what ever reason, so let's hope I can do some tonight.

Well Im back and it seems to work well , I had trouble getting it to focus due to how dark it was, so I can't post anything unless you want to see dark blurry rd ad head lights, which actually were in focus,lol

Took the kids down to the skate park after school, it was really windy, like gale force at times, so or though I don't ollie I had fun zooming around the banks etc, I so like longboards :) these old bones aren't meant for all that crash landing... which seems to accompany  skate parks, I made my boys wear their helmets ...sad to say we where the only ones doing so.

The gale winds came in handy for that extra push lol, watching the younger kids idolize the big boys doing tricks brings back memories of the 70's, skating seemed simpler then, aaarrhhh one always looks back through tinted glasses.

Might try my street tonight, with this wind there could be a new speed record for the local strip.

I think it turned out pretty good for my first attempt!
