I've been away in Oz for a wee brake.
I have had reports of the Kookys being taken to 80kph feeling nice and stable, holding corners well and being very smooth. Well its all good to hear. And thats what they where made to do.

I took the Dseed out for a wee ride last night nothing fast just cruising around 40kph. I had the trucks set pretty loose and it was nice alot of fun, I can see guys half my age and with more boarding skills really hav'n a blast on these. I was carving one part and almost sliding the back out doing stand up on lemons.
Having them dropped is low stable and fun, I was able to foot brake by just sliding my toe off the slide of the Dseed, without having to take my foot off and as I ride Mongo this helps heeps, and if I was riding with others it most probably wouldn't freak them out so much either LOL

Hi all well there has been a lot of people asking me why I haven't made these speed trucks drop through.
So I thought maybe I should.
I have now reworked the base plates shaving 2-1/2 mm off the walls so they can now easily be placed through decks.
This will in no way harm the integrity of these trucks, and still allow the hanger to have a stable bushing seat for high speeds. Also giving you a more versatile truck.
I will post pics once I have my Dseed set up again.

I went out for a night run on the new trucks, evo and lemon bigzigs apart from having someone back out onto the road without looking (whats new) it was great. Straight away I knew I was on something that was going to get me to the bottom of the hill fast and safe. These things feel really solid, no twitchy feel after a bump in the rd, at only 60kph I'm no speedster but I can feel the potential there that a more experienced rider could pull out of them.
Remember these where designed for speed with the emphasis on stability, as a complete you can run straight or maneuver down and around hills with ease.
Placing the hangers on other compatible plates will give you a nice carver and with a little tighten provide also a good speed set up, I wanted a low board and put the hangers on a set of 42* Randal's on my Dseed and was getting a little hanger bite at full turn.. ..sooo low.
I must say I'm bias, but these are great.

Well these are sweet they ride like a cadillac, smooth!
These are top mount only, due to the 30mm plate seat for the Jimz bushings, it will give them a natural rebound movement without having washers = no noise.
6mm plate holes nut locks against wall of plate so you screw down from the top, good and strong,
they are as low as randall plates but with a split axle they sit lower, and are very stable.:)

For those of you are waiting for pricing and to see my new trucks, I can only say hang in there, I've been down to the workshop again today to see whats going on, ....more delays with machinery, :(
I'm looking at the end of the week now. seems to be getting pushed forward all the time, very frustrating.
On another note, I spotted an industrial bonding glue for rubber, so Im going to have ago at making some good soles for my shoes. The rubber Im using is basic pool liner, worth a crack.:)

I had a dream last night that I was riding a board really fast..awesome.
I have to generally agree with the statement that the gear you buy won't make you better, but I must say that since I've been using my trucks my riding skills and confidence have come a long way,
It's just the feel of them I guess, the split axles being wider and lower means the board corners a lot more predictable now, unlike a standard truck where you have more leverage because of height. I feel like I can concentrate more on my line, while putting more pressure down on the back. Where as with a standard truck will do the job of getting you around a corner, the leverage aspect means you must pay more attention to your balance, IMO I think this distracts from your ride.
We all hate the "juddering" feeling of cornering wondering sometimes if the board will hook up well or if we will loose our balance while putting enough pressure down to allow the wheels to grip and drift.
Now I'm no speed racer, I wish, and I'll blame it on the lack of good roads here. So I can't wait to get over to Oz to be able to have some real fun, these precision trucks deserve better.
A few guys there have my hangers and are given them good reports, it will be good to see them racing them, I've only had these up the mid 60's kph but I feel confident enough to say they would handle 80 and up. They feel very stable.
Here is a pic of some more cutting in progress:
